The Daley's "Friday Night Fever"

Football season is here! Steven had his first football game this Friday and we were so excited he got to START! He made some really exciting plays and of course we all went crazy when the announcer commented on his great tackle!

The kids had a great time cheering Steven on and the girls had fun with some of Steven's #1 fan's.

My Mt. View Toro

Here is a picture of Steven and his friend Brett he decided he wanted to play football his senior year. He hasn't played since 9th grade, but last year he started weightlifting and all his friends urged him to go out for the team. Tonight they scrimmaged Corona, the whole time I couldn't find him because they didn't have numbers on their jersey's and I was just hoping he was getting to play. After the game I went down to the field and he said, Mom did you see my interception. Well------ I don't think so I didn't know which player you were? ----some Mom I am! He was feeling pretty good about the game and couldn't wait to call Mark who is out of town. His coach said,Daley, I can't believe it, the first play and they throw it right to you. I think it's going to be a good year!

Happy Birthday Mark!

We love you! We hope you had a great birthday!

last one to send off to school !

I can't believe this is the last time I will be sending one of my kids off to school. Steven will be a senior at mt. view this year and I'm feeling a little sentimental today. he starts to school monday and he said he can't wait to go back. i couldn't believe it for once i'm excited too!

steven will be playing football this year, this was when he was 4!

my mom sent me this a few weeks ago,i loved it!
love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! to anyone with kids of any age, here's some advice.
BILL GATES recently gave a speech at a high school about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. he talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
rule 1: life is not fair--get used to it!
rule 2: the world won't care about your self-esteem. the world will expect you to accomplish
something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
rule3: you will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. you won't be a vice-pres.
until you earn it.
rule 4: if you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
rule 5: flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. your grandparents had a different word for
flipping: they called it opportunity.
rule 6: if you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn
from them.
rule 7: before you were born, your parents werent asboring as they are now. they got that way
from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you
thought you were. so before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's
generation ,try delousing the closet in your own room.
rule 8: your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. in some
schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you
want to get the right answer. this dosen't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING
in real life.
rule 9:life is not divided into semesters. you don't get summers off and very few employers are
interested in helping you find YOURSELF. do that on your own time.
rule10:television is NOT reallife. in real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop & go
to jobs.
rule 11:be nice to nerds. chances are you'll end up working for one.
if you agree, pass it on.
if you can read this-thank a teacher!

Happy Birthday CODY!

8 Reasons We Love Cody!

  1. He gives the best hugs and is kind-hearted.

  2. He loves his family.

  3. He's funny.

  4. He's a good athlete.

  5. He's very organized.(when he was little he would line up his shoes)

  6. He's a great student.

  7. He's a great friend.

  8. He's really good at hiding.(when he was almost 3 he decided to hide while Brooke was at a girls camp meeting----when I couldn't find him,I had Jack, Steven and all their friends going door to door, then our neighbors even started going door to door, finally I called 911 and my dear friend who worked there answered the call, she calmed me down and soon as the officers were on their way to the house, we found him in the pantry. He just thought it would be fun to hide!
